Nix looked down at her side and then ran her fingers over the new stitches on her side, they felt rather odd but she knew that it would help her heal. "how much blood did I lose? Will I still be alright to move about and hunt and such like?" she asked and pandia looked at nixs skin for a moment before pinching her. Nix winced at the pinch but the tribe girl seemed to have her answer ,"no hunting or running until you have some meat" she said simply and nix hissed through her teeth ,"can I have some now?" nix asked and she heard pandia laugh to herself

Jex squinted at the light, then glanced around. So this was a tribe. He stroked Ghost's ears as he took it all in. Around six or seven or maybe more shelters stood proud, the people moving between them in a cheerful manner.
"This is the Spirit Tribe," Lux said, proudly. He beamed at Jex. "Our home. Come on, your friend's in this shelter over here."
Jex turned to see a tent about the size of the one he was just in. He hoped Nix was alright.

Nix leant back and looked up at the tent she was in, it was long wooden poles in the ground that were all carved with trees and leaves and vines, bit instead of hide covering the poles and making a tent there long bits of tree bark sewn together. Nix smiled as she remembered her times as child waking up in the shelters and running outside to go to the caves, she smiled as she heard someone out side and she and pandia turned to look at the tent entrace as jex and another boy who looked like a sort of failed copy of him with slight differences

The tent looked dark at first, but then he saw Nix. She had a few cuts and bruises like him, and her head was bandaged. Otherwise she looked fine. Jex sighed in relief.
Ghost's tail was thrashing now, hitting against his bad leg. Jex let go and the young wolf rushed into the tent.
He smiled weakly, and began to limp into the tent.

Ghost ran forwards and slammed in to his sister and started to lick her face as nix smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her face in his fur ,"he is your pet I take it..." came pandia's voice and nix leant away from ghost for a moment. He walked past her and sat down against her side and laid down and rested his head in her lap as nix shook her head ,"he's my brother, his parents raised me until i was 10 and he was born a summer later and we grew up together for a year before leaving the pack" she said with a smile before hugging her brother once again

Lux smirked at his sister, the other girl in the tent. She had messy red hair, like Nix's. And as Jex got closer, he could see that her eyes were green. Pale green, but unmistakeably a paler shade of Nix's eyes. This was a strange coincidence. Lux looked like Jex, and this girl looked like Nix.
"Jex, this is my sister Pandia," Lux said as they came to the entrance of the shelter.
Jex nodded, but was focused mainly on Nix and Ghost. He couldn't understand what they were telling each other. He felt left out, but was relieved that she was OK.

Nix smiled and waved at jex and then paused and looked at his hood ,"where are ghosts play mates?" she asked as ghost sniggered in her lap. She lowered a hand and batted playfully at his ears to tell him to shut up and he bit her fingers playfully ,she saw pandia move to stop him but when nix clicked her tongue he realised her fingers himself and licked them as nix batted his eyes again. "I should has introduced you, sorry" she said to the other girl who shook her head and smiled for the first time ,"not at all, this is my twin brother lux, but he has a point now, he knows you friends name and mine and you know the names of all three of us but only your friend knows your name" she said and then sniggered at her riddle of a statement

Jex frowned, remembering. He carefully reached a hand to his hood. He couldn't feel anything moving in there. Then he touched a bundle of warm fur and was rewarded with a playful bite.
Shaking his finger free of the blood, Shadow and Sorrel came out of his hood, perching on his shoulders.
Lux's eyes widened as he helped Jex onto a pile of mats. "I didn't know you had those."
"Brother," Sorrel chirped, nuzzling his ear. "You're hurt."
Jex brought his cheek closer to his. "It's not bad."
Lux was tempted to step away. He faced Pandia. "He can talk to them too."

Nix smiled at the two tribals and then ghost yuffed in her lap ,"both of us can talk to our siblings, it's just the way we are, and my name is nix" she said with a smile as one of the twins flinched. Pandia looked at her with wide eyes and then ran her eyes over her before shaking her head ,"your not, If you were you would have to be older, and dead" she said stiffly and nix narrowed her eyes. "no, I am nix ,seriously kiddo" she said in a sharper voice and she watched the other red head shake her head and looked down at her feet ,"your not" she she muttered

Lux frowned. Jex could tell from his face that he was shocked and trying to keep calm. But he could also tell that by the way he kept swallowing, his heart was thrashing.
"Other people can be called Nix," he tried, putting a hand on his sister's shoulder.
Jex gave Nix a look. What were they talking about? What was wrong with Nix being called... Nix?

Nix narrowed her eyes in on the girl as she turned to her brother ,"called nix? Have green eyes the color of mine and as bright as your? Have messy hair Like both of us and red hair like me? all of that says she is the nix we want but she's not because she's just a little older than us!" she hissed in a long breath and a breaking voice before snapping her head back to nix, "show me your arm! Either one" she said in a weaker voice and nix heard ghost growl and she echoed the noise too. "make me..." she snarled in a dry and scratchy voice that didn't really sound human at all

Jex listened to everything she said. Lux flinched as his sister snapped at him, left unable to respond. He was even beginning to shake a little. Maybe she'd brought things too far. But then Jex heard Nix speak in a voice that he'd never heard before. It sounded inhuman and scared him a bit, but he didn't let it bother him too much.
Lux cast a glance at Jex. Their gazes locked again, two seas of blue blending together. What could they do?
Jex grabbed Pandia's arm in a quick flex of his hand, his grip hard and strong.

Ghost was the first one to react to nix. He stood up and pressed his head against her as nix saw jex reach out for the girls hand and ghost pushed nix on to her back, nix gave a feral hiss and ghost snarled down at her as nix brought her knees up under her. Her eyesight blurred and the sharpened and her tongue shot with a hot pang of a sour taste and nix hissed again as ghost raised his tail, the two fought often to control the other side of nix and both had then hard hits from the other from time to time but nix was in limbo between being human and being wolf now, which meant she was dangerous and nether side could totality understand her

Jex's arm was shaking. He froze, eyes wide, staring at what was happening. This Nix... was different. By far. Lux took his sister in his arms, his hand reaching for his knife. He cast a wary glance at Jex.
He looked terrified, like a young wolf cub in the clutches of another pack unknown to it. Lux was used to things like this. Then he noticed something on Jex's forehead.
That tattoo. Overseas, it meant he was outcast. He glanced back at Nix and Ghost. She was most probably the first human he'd ever trusted - and now she scared him.

Ghost lowered his jaws to nixs face and nix snapped at him and pressed her knees against his chest and forced him away from her before rolling over her side and standing up on all fours with a snarl at her brother again. Ghost rolled over from where he had landed a little away from his sister and he snarled back and then nix paused as she smelt something on the wind blowing through the tent, she turned away from her brother and she felt her anger drop but she slipped from her limbo state to full wolven, ghost gave a sigh and then relaxed himself before walking over to nix to see what she had smelt
