The girl walked through the sand covering every land wherever she looked. She had been in the human camp but found that no one in that camp could help her in her quest for the Abaddon who seemed to have disappeared from the earth’s surface, one would think that a human like Abaddon with sea weed in his hair would be easy to spot but it did not seem like it. The sun shined down on her back, making her wish for a better protection against the ray then the warm wolf fur blanket she wore to protect her skin. She found a pretty high hill that provided some shadow for her burning legs. The girl leaned against the hills cool sand and closed her eyes, thinking of the one she chased. Despite the warmth, she shivered and pulled the wolf blanked closer to her trying to shut out the world and the face of that person. In her belt hanged a knife made of one of the best stone the wise lady had be able to provided to help the young girl in her quest. The knife was always cold as the ice covering the lake at her home during the winter, as if it had been cursed by the girl’s sins. That coolness reminded her of her mission, night and day was the knife of stone as cold it’s stone like ice. Picking up her bag pack the girl continued towards the fire changelings’ camp. She had nothing to help her on the way to the camp. A man told her that she had to follow the big woods star constellation to get to the fire tribe but everyone around him had laughed and told her that searching for the camp was useless. No human was allowed in to the base camp without the permission of the fire changelings, and before she even got so far no human could find the fire demons’ layer. The man keep insisting that he had been to the camp once, he had found it when he, lost and deadly thirst had wandered towards the constellation of the big woods and found the camp. With every other man laughing at her and telling her to stay with them and have some fun, the girl had filled some bags with water and taken off in the desert. As she leaved she did not turn her head towards the human camp and wandered off in the twilight, but if she had, the girl would have seen the man who pointed out her way looking at her, his mouth miming spells to help the girl getting to the camp safely. The man looked after the girl till she disappeared and turned to walk the other way, a light shining in his hand as he walked towards the opposite side the girl had disappeared to. The girl had walked for about one and a half day before falling to the ground is exhaustion, her legs ponded with pain, the curse eating its way up her body.

Lyu sat on the edge of the fire Changlings camp and beat his large golden wings softly. His head was low and his long shaggy hair had fallen over his face as he was on watch duty. He was one of the eldest chosen to watch the camp these days, they picked the half human boys with animals that could be useful in a fight or in flight but many of them were only just last their twelfth birthnight. Lyu shook his head and then stood up and beat his wings again to cool himself then he looked up at them and felt his heart ache, he had gone to the Mage to grow his wings for his mate, but humans had killed her as she slept outside their camp so he had now done it for nothing, and even looking at them reminded him of her and of how much he missed her

The girl had fallen to the ground, exhausted and alone. The beast watching her steps had also trailed her since she set out on her journey from the shadow of the sand hill. It was a desert wolf, with sand colored fur and dark, blue eyes, its tongue hanging outside its mouth in a disgusting way. This particular sand wolf had once had a wife and kids to bring food to and because of that he had been very careful not to eat a human since its family may come and take revenge on the sand wolf’s family. One day the wife had been killed by another sand wolf and the kids had been eaten and now the father had learned to despise all and had nothing to lose. With careful steps the beast trailed down a sand hill and closed in on the girl, drool dropping from its mouth as it could feel the girl tender meat in his mouth. The sand wolf stopped, standing just about two meters to its meal it started to circle the girl making sure she was completely out cold, or warm was perhaps a better description.
When it was sure that she would not put up a fight he walked up to the girl. A low grow stopped the sand wolf from slitting the girl’s throat and as it looked up it saw a big, grey wolf with white, sharp tooth. The sand wolf was not very keen to let this prey go and it lowered its head and growled back, spit falling to the ground and on the girl. The grey wolf also lowered her head and her body’s muscles tensed ready to jump at the smaller beast who dared to pick a fight with her. Suddenly the female wolf muscles relaxed and she stood up in a more worthy pose, her eyes on something behind the male wolf. The male also turned to see what was behind him and found a monster more terrible than any other on this earth. The demon had silver hair and blue eyes that seemed made of the darkest waters of the sea, its body looked like a human boy but the aura it emitted was none of this world. As the sand wolf looked into the demon’s eyes it could see its wife, laying cold in the sand, his children’s’ blood coloring the sand red. The sand wolf found himself running from the monster and his wolf, its tail between its legs.
Fenris bent down over the girl, turning the girl on the other side to get a look on her face. The girl had black hair and a beautiful face with traces of sadness in it. The she wolf turned toward her master with a questioned expression, who was this girl? The Abaddon had never mentioned her before. The demon bent down and picked the girl up; she looked fragile in his hands and far too young to be alone in the desert. The Abaddon and the wolf walked through the desert towards the fire changeling’s camp. When they were close enough to see the guardian of the camp the Abaddon put the girl down and removed the knife from her belt, sticking it down in the sand to make sure she would see the camp when she woke up. Taking one look at the girl’s face he smiled and said: “You will never manage your task if you are going to fight without any spirit. To kill me you’ll need more than pass out in the desert.” With those words the demon turned his back to the human girl and walked away with his beloved wolf.

A weak wind carried sand over the dessert and destroyed any evidence of the demon’s presence. The wind blew a handful of sand up the girl’s nose and coughing she sat up and looked around. She remembered losing consciousness somewhere other than this place, her tired lags unable to carry the black haired girl any longer. Had someone brought her here? She reached out to her backpack and opened it, searching the items inside the bag she realized that something was missing, her stone knife.
Fumbling at the knife’s usual place at her hip the girl looked around desperately, not knowing what to do as her weapon was gone. Then she saw it, the knife in the sand and reached out for the always cold metal with a mix of relief and hatred. The human child stopped her hand just over the handle of the knife, her fingers almost feeling the cold that the weapon emitted, why would her knife be placed in such a place or in a weird way? She looked around for any trap hidden by the desert sand or someone’s footprints but found nothing. Then the girl’s eyes looked beside the knife and found what she had been looking for, the camp of the fire changelings. With a smile if relief the human grabbed her backpack and then the way showing knife and put it back in its place by her hip. With steps powered by the knowing that she had found her goal she stepped toward the camp, not noticing the winged shadow that watched the fire changelings’ camp.

Lyu beat his wings softy again on the camps boarders and found himself wishing he could be back at its centre beside the fire side. Beating his golden wings once more, he looked up at the to see them shimmer in the light of the setting sun and then he heard a shout ,"Lyu, keep those dammed wings down, you'll give us away!" came the call from a younger boy.
Lyu knew who he was and he knew who Lyu was, Gren was the leaders youngest and and having three older brothers had made in power hungry and controlling over those he was allowed to boss about. But the boy was merely 14 where was Lyu was quickly coming up to his 18th birthnight so he ignored Gren and looked out across the sands again and then paused as he thought he saw something coming towards the camp.

Nao Misako, bone tired and sun shocked looked at the winged creature that seemed to be the guardian of the changelings’ camp. She tilted her head to try and make out the guardian but his face was mostly hidden by a long bangs and at the end of it eyes that looked black as the black coal on burned wood. The knife at her side send cold chills, if it was to warn the girl or because the knife wanted demon blood she did not know but gripping the handle but feeling the cold, freezing touch of her weapon made the girl determinate but also afraid. Breathing deeply the girl walked up to the winged man, staying long enough from him so that she could draw her weapon without trouble but still close enough for the two of them to hear each other. “My name is Nao and I’ve come to ask for a demon hunter strong enough to take down an Abaddon, is there anyone like that in this camp?”

Seeing the figure move towards the camp Lyu beat his wings down quickly in hope none of the many other guards had seen the other person and he landed down on the sand beside the other creature. It was a girl and she was younger than him but most of all, she was a human. "we have no demons here, if you're looking die a demon then go find yourself some abaddon and ask one of those for help" he said in a sharp voice at her words to him as his bright and alert eyes spotted the knife that lay at her side of her belt. "we have many warriors here who can take them down easily as the beasts are almost defenceless in day light and we can use thar easily" he said before looking back his shoulders and around to see if anyone had seen him talking to the new human
