Tain heard the girl snap at him and fought down the fire in his chest that told him to burn her for being so rude to someone who had saved her life, his fingers tingled as flames appeared around them and he felt his hair and head get warmed but then she spoke again. Her voice was softer and weaker and he heard her move away and only then did he lift his head, his head seemed to cool and he felt his fingers tingle less but he just pushed himself in to the side of the cave. "I'm to old to be baby sitting" he muttered to himself, he was nearly 19 summer old now and should have found a mate already and settled down in a tribe but he just wasn't that kind of guy and he knew it

A flash of teal eyes and and a slight show of fangs was all that gave away Ruka's annoyance. "I'm not a child." she replied calmly. "If you want to get technical, I'm a young adult. Past a teen, but not quite "responsable" as the elders say."
Her voise was low and a little rough from the cold weather, and she didn't flinch when it stung like a bunch of nettles had been shoved down her throat, but let a grimace cross her features silently. Rune twittered once and settled himself at Ruka's side, folding his wings neatly and tucking his head down as he puffed up like a blye snowball. If things had not been so serious, Ruka would have laughed. |

"well in that case, where's your mate and your tribe? It's not custom for females of 19 summers to wander alone, they will never find a mate or have a happy life that way" Tain hissed through freezing teeth before he just gave up. "I don't care, I really don't anymore" he said softly before he pressed his palms together and they burst in flame and his hands were warm in moments. He tried to pass the fire over himself but he knew he'd end up setting his jerkin and such on fire which just wasn't going to be any good at any point

Ruka scowled. "I don't need either." she told him, her chin jutting out stubbornly. In reality, she had always wondered about that, but had never tried to do anything more. She just wondered.
"Rune and I don't need anyone. We take care of each other...I only ended up needing your help because I was dumb enough not to make sure the air was clear before crossing the ice." her tone dropped down, and she rubbed her arms, refraining from moving much to conserve energy. "I won't make such a mistake again." she whispered at the end. |

Tain rolled his eyes at the other girl before flicking his fingers again and sending his fire a deep blue and the warmth all over his was suddenly more and he felt pretty much happy with himself. He knew blue and his hair would really clash but seeing as he was in an ice cave with a hanyou for company, he really didn't care. "well then, If you didn't check then you still need someone to check for you" he said in a drawl of a voice as she spoke once again
