Twenty three years have passed since the dark wizard known as Lord Voldemort was vanquished by Harry Potter. The survivors of that dark time have picked up the pieces, rebuilt, and started families and careers of their own. Harry entered the ministry and spent ten years as an auror and another five as head auror. He spent many of those years cleaning up the mess from the war, and either capturing or killing all of those who followed Voldemort. Because of this, he soon became bored of the job and sought a new career that would give him more excitement. This chance was provided to him by his old friend Weasley, current headmistress of Hogwarts. Harry soon found out that teaching defense against the dark arts provided more of a challenge than he ever expected!

Yes, all was well and good with Harry, but the same could not be said for everyone in the wizarding world. Draco Malfoy, whose family was totally and utterly disgraced after the war, spent those years in a low level ministry job and silently seething. His father was a coward and his mother was a traitor, and his wife and son were not much better. Already thirteen year old Scorpious was showing signs of bringing even more disgrace to the family. He had not only been sorted in Gryffindor, but was actually best friends with Albus Potter and even worse, was dating the daughter of that blood traitor Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger Weasley!
