I know it's a month late but I'll be writing a story anyway. It's also way over the 1000 word limit but oh well.
A 13 year old brown haired girl named Jasafaria awoke in her bed. 10:00 am."Today is the day! I just know it!" she said. She brushed her teeth and hair, put on prettiest shirt and jeans and stepped out the door. She hoped that wierdo boy named Lettha with the mysterious attraction to her didn't show up. He always said "As you wish" whenever she asked something. He was most likely a perv anyway, like most of the boys who stared at her. It was hard not to stare at the prettiest girl in the village.
She walked slowly to the edge of the forest and to meet her crush, a red haired boy named Farahtha who was a year older. Before she got there, she decided to take a run through the plain. She ran quite quickly and the wind blew through her hair. She then walked to the edge of the forest.
As she walked , she looked down to her feet. She therefore didn't notice anything wrong until she reached the birch treeline that marked the entrance to the forest. She carefully brushed her hair back and found... EARS!? Why did she have ears up there? They felt very fluffy and quite like her cat, Rhumy's ears. She had heard many legends of Changlings in the dark of the night next to her father by the fire, but he didn't have half animal legs. Neither did her mother. She bit her lip in worry and found she had Fangs! "Not today! Of course it has to be the day I get brave enough to ask him out! Great! Ab so lute ly GREAT!" She realized her hands weren't hands either. They were PAWS! She ran into the forest at this point, freaking out. She made a small shelter so people could only see her eyes.
Faratha walked by, calling out her name. She didn't answer. He efound her shelter and knew it was her. He knew she was planning to meet him and she was the only one who made shelters like that. He called out gently "That you Jazz? Come out now, it's just me." She left the small shelter and when he saw her tail and paws, he ran screaming "Jasafaria is a Changling! Run!!!" That night she cried herself to sleep in her shelter.
The next morning, Lettha was at the door of her house. "Seen Jasafaria lately sir?" he asked to her dad. "No, I haven't. She's been gone for two days now. The Changlings must have taken her. Those damn creepy half animals. Maybe ask Faratha, he might know". So Lettha walked over to Faratha's small tent. "Seen Faratha lately?" he asked to his dad. "Nope, not since Jasafaria dissapeared. Kinda odd eh?" Everything clicked in Letha's head. "Thank you sir, I'll be on my way"
Lettha walked into the forest. Though he lived among humans, he was a Changling, looking for strange disapearances like this. He walked silently on his horse hooves and his wings opened and closed. The Pegasus Hanyou walked through the forest and found Jasafaria. "Welcome to the world of Changlings. The number one rule, which you seem to understand " he said looking at the corpse next to the shelter "is to NEVER REVEAL WHO YOU ARE." The corpse had claw marks all over it. Mostly on the face. Jasafaria had tear stains on her face and wounds all over her tail and paws. "This is who you are Jazz, you can't claw it off." She sobbed drily. "Oh Faratha. Oh Lettha, what have I done?" "All that you had to. All that you had to"
