The howl of a wolf shattered the still night air. It resonated to the sky and faded away upon the soft breeze. Ryo looked up at the sound, as did his red, furry companion beside him. Firelight danced over his skin and threw shadows around him. He glanced at the she-wolf beside him. "Kiche, you can go if you want to." he smiled. The red wolf whined softly and wagged her tail. He nodded. Jumping up, Kiche licked his face and slinked off through the dense trees of the Oasis.
Ryo sighed and leaned back on the cool grass. The starry sky above him glowed and twinkled marrily with a bright, full moon. Kiche would most likely return in the morning...possibly at daybreak or even early mid-noon. He really didn't have to wait for her. She could find him, like she always did. But he was pretty tired and thought maybe he could sleep in a little. She'd wake him up when she returned...
Sighing again, Ryo shut his eyes and let the sounds of the night time wash over him and lull him into a calm and soothed state. The wind whispered quietly, moving gently through the trees and shifting over the lake water, making it splash lightly aginst the shore. Another howl filled the sky, and he drifted of to sleep.

Nix sat beside her brother and grinned and then nudged his sholder and lifted her head and howled again, ghost rolled his bright blue eyes at her and then lifted his own muzzle and joined her howl. They had brought down a deer like beast but it was smaller than a normal deer and had run faster ,nix had heard the fire tribe people called it a sand hind but that was just another way of really saying desert deer so that was she had come to call their kill. Nix and her brother were now sittig beside a small fire with nix's shelter behind them and the stars above them, ghost was already laying down and was just about to fall odd to sleep when his ears twitched and nix flinched at his movement ,"I know, I'll deal with it this time" she said and then slid out from under her brothers head and looked out across the sands

Kiche slipped out of the shadows, head tilted as she stood before the camp, the smell of the fallen deer reaching her nose. She blinked. Her master had been unable to find any game here in the desert. The Oasis had water...at least that kept him alive. How had someone found a deer? She stepped closer. Perhaps if she led one of them to him, they could help him.

Nix walked out into the dark of the night of the desert and then leaned forwards and bent down, she tucked her knife in to her mouth and then flexed her fingers in the sand as her eyes ajusted to the darkness around her ,her eyes were bright green but they had the same yellow flexs as those of the rest of her kin and as she took a few small steps down on all fours and smiled darkly ,"I have to do this more often" she muttered and then gave a low growl and then ran forwards across the sand ,still down on all fours
*small notice - when I write padded, she's down on all fours*

Ryo sighed as he rolled over and stared at the water in the glittering lake. "Maybe Kiche will get lucky and find some thing to eat..." he muttered, closing his eyes.

The red she-wolf spotted another wolf. But this was not an ordinary wolf; she had a human form. Kiche barked, trying to catch her attention.

Nix heard the bark of a she wolf and turned round and then barked back, not to be freindly or aggressive, merely to say she had heard her. nix rocked back on her legs and sat down and then looked in to the darkness of the sands and spotted a shadow of a shape and then coughed, "you are wolf? I was raised by wolves, we are kin to each other" she said in wolf talk and then smiled gently as the shape moved a little closer
*ryo would be the better person to happen across now, nix and ghost and Kiche i think wouldnt be such a good idea*

Bored, Ryo sat up. "Guess I'll go look for her." he muttered, realizing that there was nothing else to do. He stood and ran off onto the desert sands, wind shifting around him. He followed Kiche's tracks and soon came upon the spot where she was sitting. She was looking at something and he stepped up beside her. "Hey, Kiche. I got bored." he said, eyes scanning the darkness. He looked at the shadowy shape in curiosity.

Kiche looked up at Ryo. "Oh, here he is." she said, looking at the other wolf. She smiled. "Amazing. Hello sister." her tail wagged once and she smiled again.

Nix heard more foot falls and flet her body freeze but a noise from behind her made her grin and she dipped her head and took a step forwards, "hello to you too my sister, your brother is wolf? mine is" she said as ghost padded up to her side. His white coat gleamed in the dark of the desert and nix smiled as she leaned up against her side and rested his head on her sholder

"No, he is a Child of the Elements, but a brother nonetheless." Kiche replied, licking Ryo's hand and whining softly. Ryo smiled down at her and looked over at the two other wolves. "You two are not like Kiche." he said, tilting his head to the side slightly.

Nix lifted her head and looked at the boy who walked over behind the she wolf and nodded, "my name is nix, this is my brother who goes by the name of ghost" she said and laned on to her brothers side, the wolf gave a small snigger and yuffed at him name and then leaned back against her and nix laughed quietly, "you would be who and who, if i may ask" she said looking the wolf and boy over as a pair

Ryo nodded at them and smiled. "My name is Ryosis. You can call me Ryo." he said. He looked down at Kiche. "This is Kiche...looks like you can speak with her." he grinned. A thought came to him. Could this be the girl Tain had been talking about...? Kiche barked quietly and he lost the thought as he focused on the two before him. A girl and a wolf. He chuckled as he realized this scenario was ironic.
Here he was with a female wolf, and there she was with a male wolf. Pretty neat actually.

*I'm sorry it's so short I've been really busy... Bad things have been happening.*
Denali walked though out the dark desert alone. She had been there for days, she was tierd and hungry. She sensed animals around, Tarlin had went off and still hadn't returned. He'd been gone for about a day and a half; she was begining to lose hope. Her silvery brown eyes scanned the place for any movement. She saw something in the distance, and trudged toward it.

Nix dipped her head in greeting to the new male and then paused and looked him over ,"you wanna eat? I have a fresh kill back by my shelter, or rather I did before I came over but ghost did have a turn there so there may be some what less than I left" she said and then looked at her brother, he gave a small yuff and then tilted his head to one side and nix sniggered and batted at his ears playfully and then rolled over on the balls of her feet and padded a little away from the new pair ,"coming?" she asked
*I was thinking that our plot here could be that all the prey is being killed by the shadow hunters so people are coming to them for food so they are asking for children in exchange or they will make everyone starve, and we have to stop them! Yes/no?*
