Winter Wandering

[Nix]

Nix watched the demon sit and she nodded to vale with out letting the other demon boy see her head and hen she watched the demon sit in front of the cave entrance and exit and she felt herself hiss slightly. He knew that the others knew he was dangerous and he knew that he could use it to work against them, nix narrowed her eyes on him before dropping a hand down to stroke her bothers ears. Ghost looked over at the she wolf across from him and he locked eyes with her for a moment, he didn't want the demon to know what he wanted until it was night and nix was already sleeping

Vale cursed inwardly, now would be the perfect time to escape if he was asleep and not blocking the only exit! It sounded like he there was a blizzard outside, if he escaped now, the other boy or whatever he was couldn't follow him, least not if he had a head start. In a blizzard the tracks are covered so fast they can't be followed and its easy to get lost, or lose somebody else in this case. He'd just have to wait till they all fell asleep. He actually was kind of sleepy himself, shame he couldn't take a quick rest. He yawned, "Well, im going to sleep. Wake me when its morning." He moved a little closer to the fire, curling up and using his fluffy tail as a pillow. He soon dozed off into one of his, as he called them, cat naps. Where he'd be asleep but could wake up at the slightest disturbance.

[Yuan]

The two changelings were certainly out of plans for the moment, the demon blocking their only way to escape. The Abaddon focused on the shadows the warm fire cast and because of that missing the look the wolves shared for a moment. The fire seemed quite weak and the fake boy reached out to throw a branch on the fire, the fuel he had carried into the cave lay just in reach from his guarding position at the entrance. The storm outside howled and the fire cracked as it ate the new sacrifice that had been offered to it, the wood being eaten as the demon watched.

The feline boy yawned and Yuan looked up at the sound. The cat said he was going to sleep and hurled himself closer to the fire, using his tail as a pillow. The Abaddon realized that he was curious of what the feline’s fur felt like, streaking his beloved wolf over her back, he wondered if a cat’s fur was like a wolf’s. The Abaddon shake his head and looked at the red haired girl with a smile.

“You must also be tired right? You can go ahead and sleep if you’d like, I’ll take the first watch.” He tilted his head, “I can wake you up later so that I can get some sleep to, is that okay with you?” Having to be polite with this irritating girl who seemed like she wanted to claw his neck open was a lot more then the Abaddon liked. He felt his nails dinning into his hands as he clenched them tight to keep himself from exploding.

[Nix]

Nix nodded the hanyou boy as he went to sleep with a small whisper of ,"I'll keep an eye out" to him as he walked over to a corner and curled up on his tail and then the demon spoke to her and she narrowed her eyes. "I'm good with staying awake thanks, you can take a rest of you wanna" she said in a bitter voice before she looked over her sholder at the demon boy before she stood up and walked over to the boy and looked at him. As a human he was shorter than her and she had the larger wolf too so he should move away from her ,ghost took a moment to stand but he knew his sister was stubborn but would she would need to sleep later on, everyone had to sleep some time

[moonlit]

Vales ears twitched twice in his sleep and he peeked his head up, giving a wide mouthed yawn, his sharp teeth glinting in the firelight. "No one needs to keep watch. The door is hidden by vines and by the time the storm is over it will probably be covered in a layer of snow. Besides, I dont think there are any more people who are crazy enough to come up here other than us three and I doubt any wild animals would bother breaking in here to attack such a large group so were fine. Now if you dont mind my ears are very sensitive and I need some sleep." He curled back up, his head on his fluffy tail and his furry paws drawn up under his chin. Every so often his ears would twitch in his sleep and he might murmur something to softy to understand/

[Yuan]

The annoying girl did not wish to sleep when he kept watch, that much was awfully clear to the Abaddon. The girl told him that she wanted him to sleep instead so she and the feline could sneak past him and out in the snow storm that blew snow over the land like a furious beast. Suddenly standing up, the female changeling walked up to the demon boy and looked down on him with green eyes that shined in the glow from the fire. Yuan did not back down but instead stood up, looked the redhaired girl in her emerald eyes and ask: “What? Do I have something in my face?”


At time like this the Abaddon wondered why he even bothered to play the innocent child. It would be easy to beak the child of men, didn’t matter if they was changeling, Hanyou or children of the elements, an Abaddon could crush them all without any trouble… but that was not interesting at all. Just to kill was simply boring and Yuan did not find that very interesting. No, the real fun lay in the hard, to play the game one needed more than just malice and Yuan knew that, which was the reason he smiled at the girl with the attitude of a naïve child.

The feline woke up by the voices of the changeling and the boy, the cat child yawned big. Yuan’s eyes fell on the ears that twitched with every sound that echoed through the caves walls. The feline fell asleep again and Yuan followed his example and curled up beside Fenris, the female wolf offered her warm fur as a warming blanket. The Abaddon yawned too and buried his face deeper into the wolf’s pelt. He turned his eyes to the girl and smiled; “If you are awake then please put a branch on the fire if it seems weak, is that okay?” the demon looked at the feline boy once more, Yuan was also easily awaken since he did not really sleep, he just pretended but his act was too good for even a wolf to see through.

[Nix]

Nix smiled as the hanyou spoke and then ghost gave a growl as the demon boy did as well but as nix opened her mouth to reply to his comment, he walked past her and settled down at the side of the cave. Nix nodded her head at his second set of words before lookin down at ghost, it took only a moment her her message to get to him and then nix walked out the cave in search of good wood that would burn long enough for the morning to come. Ghost whined as his sister left the cave and then muttered to himself about stubborn humans and power mad demons before he laid down beside the cave entrance and wrapped his tail around his side, hoping nix would be back soon

One of Vales eyes cracked open just the tiniest amount as he saw the conversation end and Nix walk out of the cave. Outwardly he still appeared to be sleeping, even his breathing stayed the same, soft and shallow, but inwardly he was cursing himself. He should have thought of that! He could of used firewood as an excuse to escape! Now he was alone with Yuan!" He went back to his 'cat nap', his ears twitching every so often.

[Yuan]

Seeing how the girl walked out of the cave the demon sat up, surprised and mad that the human child had escaped him but then he saw the wolf laying beside the cave entrance and the feline boy sleeping in the back of the cave. With an irritated yawn he lay back at the grey wolf’s fur and starred at the male wolf, his grey hair fell down in his eyes but the Abaddon stroked it away irritably. Fenris turned her head towards Yuan and looked at him with deep brown eyes.

“So what’s the deal?” all the weakness and the unsure in the demons voice was gone, replaced by his real voice, the rasping, suffocated voice as if its owner had just raised from a deep wanting revenge. The voice was terrible like from ones deepest nightmare raised in the real world which was the origin of the demon and all his kind, not that Yuan cared, he was just tired of playing the game when all the players had left the field.
Fenris looked over at the feline boy, her grey eyes observing his movements. Had the boy moved? The wolf did not know, when it came to cats one could never trust them about what they did. She turned towards Yuan again:
“Are you sure you should speak like that? The cat is still awake I think.”
For a moment Yuan’s blue eyes looked at the feline and then before the male wolf did something stupid, the Abaddon spoke again:
"I realize you and my dear has some kind of agreement concerning me since you and that girl are here.” Scratching his neck the Abaddon continued, “Now I need to know the details about before the human born gets back again, and I will consider what’s in it for me. And you Vale.” The last words were for the feline boy and the demon turned his voice back to the human boys unsure and light voice, watching the looking-asleep boy, “Sit up and listen, stop playing dead or asleep or whatever. Come here, I won’t hurt you.” The last words were the original voice, used to teasing the boy.

Vales plan was falling apart right in front of him. The girl was gone for now, there would be no one to help him. He had hoped if it came to a fight he would at least have some back up. Now he knew what this boy was though. He was an abaddon. Vale had found an abaddon and invited him to come with him! And now his plan shattered as Yuan knew he was awake and spoke to him. I wont hurt you he said, yah right. As soon as he finished talking Vale's sharp claws flicked out, not making a sound. He didn't move as he said "I cant say the same thing about me..." Suddenly sitting up, his feet connected with the backside of the cave wall and pushed off, propelling him forward towards Yua, his sharp claws glinting in the firelight as he went for Yuans throat. This was it. Either he killed Yuan, or Yuan would kill him.

[Yuan]

The feline’s sharp claws shined red in the firelight as if already stained by blood. The changeling jumped toward the demon, in the Abaddons eyes the human child looked scared and desperate but also determinate, this boy did not wish to die in this cave nor did he wish to be left with the monster and two wolves.
Yuan reacted faster than a human would have done and suddenly stood on his feet reaching out a hand as fast as snake bites, his normal power boosted by the fear that lurked in the cave. Yuan’s aimed for the feline’s cheek and hit hard enough for the boy to lose his breath but not as hard to kill him. Before the other boy managed to regain his balance the Abaddon was in front his guard and using the force in the fall he sent the changeling down on the cave’s floor. Then placing his knee on the feline boy’s chest weighing him down with all his weight Yuan drew his knife that was hidden at the back of his trousers, the knife gently touched Vale’s throat and the Abaddon looked down at him, smiling.
“Do you still think I won’t hurt you?” teased the demon knowing that any movement would make the knife pierce the human child’s skin.

Then, surprising probably everyone in the cave, Yuan laughed and pulled the knife away from the child’s throat and putting it back where it had been, before offering the Vale his hand. “You are more valuable to me alive, but don’t get any ideas, child. the next time I’ll slit your throat.”

[Nix]

Nix walked through the freezing winds and snow and picked up all the dark sticks and logs she could carry until she could barely see where to walk next. Lifting one hand away from the pile if sticks and wood, she brushed her hair away from her face and then her skin rippled as a noise she loved hit her ears. A long and loud howl shot through the air and then a chorus of other wolven voices hit her ears and she smiled and lifted her own head and let a howl loose of her own and she broke in to a grin. Her skin went warm and she felt her eyes heat up a little by she shook herself and her head to focus, vale was alone in the cave with only a demon of company and nix had to get back to see if vale was even there any more

Vale lay on the floor gasping. He was pretty sure his back was also bleeding slightly after the impact with the rocky cave floor. How did he do that? How did he move that fast? Vale was right in his earlier assumption, he couldn't beat Yuan. Now both his plans had been shattered and crushed to dust before his now hollow eyes. The demon said Vale was more valuable alive and Vale knew it was true, but that wouldn't last long. Once he was done with him Vale would be killed. No abaddons showed mercy. Maybe it would be better to make him kill him and save him the waiting. Either way, he'd think about it later. He certainly didn't take the demons hand but rather crawled back to the fire, sitting down with his legs drawn up to his chest and his arms wrapped around them as he stared into the fire. His tail slowly came and wrapped itself around his side and feet. There was now a clear bruise on his cheek and back and a light one was forming on his chest even as he was thinking. Maybe this was the end of his journey, maybe this cave would be the last thing he saw. No. No no no! If he was going to die, he swore to himself it wouldn't be in this dark cave, it would be outside with the white snow and the fresh air! His eyes looked over at the demon and were set. No way was he dying in here.

[Yuan]

The other boy looked rather hurt and ignored the Abaddon’s hand. Watching the feline crawl back at the back of the cave with his tails between his legs (wait perhaps you only said that about dogs or wolves?) and stared into the fire, the colorful flames reflecting in the boy’s blue eyes. Fenris stood up and walked over to Vale with a sympatric look in her black eyes, she knew Yuan was strong but seeing him hit a cub, not much older than fourteen, fifteen somewhere. She was not aware that her eyes had widened by the smell of the fresh blood dripping from the child’s back. The child reminded the she wolf of a hurt and scared cub she had meet as a child with wide eyes and a heavy breathing. The she wolf had been unable to help the child seeing how it had bitten anyone getting too close and finally it had died all alone in the world. She had been helpless against the fear of the cub which didn’t open its heart to anyone but she was not powerless over the Abaddon and she knew it.

Yoking back at the other wolf Yuan eyed it with blue eyes without any feelings, just observing and waiting for the beast to talk. It was obvious that the male wolf disliked him, Yuan almost started to laugh out loud again, like him? No one did. He was just going to make the wolf speak again but the familiar voice of his companion made him stop and look at the she wolf.
“Yuan…” she said “I won’t allow you to harm this child anymore.”
“Hurting him?” the demon turned to the wolf looking into her eyes, “He was the one to attack me, my dear.” The Abaddon saw no sign of turning back as the wolf stand her ground without regrets. Her eyes were black and round reflecting the flames many colors that made them look as if on fire.
“I am not backing down, Yuan, if you want to kill the child you’ll have to pass me first.”
At first the Abaddon looked shocked and then a little bit angry before the demon’s hard eyes and the movements of authority disappeared together with the twisted smile on his mouth. Smiling as if he was a child with a naïve look on the world Yuan said: “Then I won’t hurt him as long as he does not aim to hurt me.” Pausing for a moment and eying the feline, “Nor you, my dear. If he hurts you I’ll not let even death allow him to escape.”

[Nix]

Nix walked back towards the cave slowly as the snow and wind brushed over her face and she felt it grow heavy from frozen ice and snow and she took a deep breath. She heard a noise from the cave and she lifted her head and her eyes narrowed and she gave a low and feral growl and then started walking faster towards the cave again, she spotted vale walking over towards the fire and yuan sitting in front of the door way with his back to her having just stopped talking to vale. She gave a small cough as she stood in the opening of the door way ,"the changling girl is back with wood and freezing cold, shift out the way before I drop the wood on you" she said bitterly as she spotted the bruise on vales face and heard the low growl coming from her brother and she then shook her head and she pushed past him and walked in to the darkness of the cave
