Plot
In the beginning, when humans began their experimentations, they created Half-humans and what they called Child of the Elements; CHoE for short. These creatures were, for the most part, under their control...years passed, and soon, they lost control of these creatures and ended up loosing all the data from their experiments.
Some of these humans continued on with their research and came to find the location of a powerful source of magic. Deep withing the forest, there was an old oak tree. It was stood there for years, watching over the plants and animals for generations. At it's roots lay the concentrated flow of magic that kept balance in the dense trees. It was only a myth to humans, but this human was smart and he knew it to be true. He found out that it was true by capturing some forest dwellers and forcing them to tell him.
The man's name was Harold Shwaltavich. He was foreign and from another country that was much different than that of the world he was in now. In order to get here, he had crossed the sea on a small, narrow boat with three other scientists. He was the only one that was still working and researching. And he was going after that source of magic to use as his own. he brought with him CHoE's that loyally served him and HH that did as well. Things were going to go his way. He'd make sure of it.
Notes: Is there anyone who wants to play as the scientist? You don't need to make a profile for him, he's just in this rp. If no one wants to play him, I will.

Rina Ukario
All was quiet in the forest. No birds chirped in the trees. There was no wind...something was wrong. The forest seemed upset and the balance was shifting. Rina paused on her perch high above the forest floor. What was going on? She'd never felt the forest act like this before. Even the plants seemed to be holding their breath. Waiting...waiting for what?
Suddenly, a tremor rocked the earth and the raven-haired girl had to hold onto the tree she had climbed, her feet nearly slipping as the while tree swayed beneath her. "What the hell?" she muttered, golden eyes wide.
The earth settled and Rina sat down on the branch, wondering what in the world was wrong with the forest around her. That had been no ordinary earthquake. There never were any here anyway. So why? Why had that happened? A bird screeched in the tree limbs above her, but other than that, there was no other sound. The forest, once again, was still. Waiting and quiet. It was strange and made her feel uneasy. The pull of magic that flowed throughout these woods began to shift and ebb. What? Why was it fading?
Rina scanned the trees, eyes narrowed. There was a human in the forest. A human with evil intent. He didn't seem lost...so said the trees, but he was searching. What was he searching for?
The center...
The wind called softly and Rina jumped, startled. The wind had never spoken to her before. Only the trees had. But what the wind said...the center? What did that mean? She called out to the wind, asking what it meant, but there was no reply. The wind had died and it seemed as if it had been stifled by an unknown force. As if someone had used their magic to stop it from blowing through the trees. Whatever this was didn't seem like a good thing.
Rina continued through the trees, following the pull of magic.
