Wow! Klowd, you are great!  Arena smiled slightly to herself and tied her boots tighter, she splashed the cool water over her face and pinned back her dark hair, finally she turned back to the boy. "Or, a dangerous stranger?" She said playfully, tilting her head to one side. "Which one is it then?" She drunk some more water, the day was far to hot to enjoy, sweat broke out on the nape of her neck, the forest did not offer her protection, easily letting the sun infiltrate the canopy of lush green leaves and kiss her skin. She shielded her eyes and looked at the sky, her stomach rumbled, It was past noon now, her body ached from running and she had not eaten yet. She sat down on the opposite side of the stream to the red haired boy, avoiding his glance. She ran her hand over the hot pebbles that made the bank before unfolding her bag and pulling out a chunk of bread like food and biting into it. |

Emmeline watched the girl sit down, after saying something to the boy. She couldn't quite make out their words, they were just a little to far away... She thought about it for a second, then decided it might be worth the risk of talking to the strangers. They didn't seem dangerous, and they might be able to help her find her mother, she stood up, stepping out of the bushes. She tried to stand tall, and look brave, but she was still just a quiet little girl. She approached the two standing upstream silently. She tried to say something but the words caught in her throat. She just hoped they could help her find her mother... She was worried that they might be bad people... They could hurt her. They could kill her. She trembled. It was too late to turn back, one of them must've noticed her by now. She stopped walking forward and just stood there, looking straight ahead. She blinked twice.

Twin was about to open his mouth with a smart reply when something moved to his right, his grabbed his knife out of his belt from sheer habit and gripped it's handle tightly and turned round. A small but pale girl was standing a little down stream from him and then other girl ,she was young though, very young. He paused and lowered his knife, children under 12 summers weren't allowed to leave their clans or wander, they would be searched for and brougt back, it was against clan law for someone that young to be alone. He rolled his eyes but kept his knife in his hand and whistled over to the other girl and nodded to her ,"you shouldnt be here" he called over to her

Emmeline froze. The boy grabbed at his knife. He was going to kill her, wasn't he? He looked at her and lowered the knife. Emmeliune stepped forward again, listening to what he said. She nodded. "I know..." She half whispered in a small voice, "I'm lost..." she looked down. She had to find her mom or she'd be in big trouble with the clan. She bit her lip, blinking back tears. She just wanted to go home. "Can you help me find my mom?" She asked, lip quivering. She looked up at the boy. Maybe he could run fast, and catch up with her mom.
A tear streamed down her face, and she wiped it away with the back of her hand. she sniffled quietly, wanting nothing more but to be talking to Nova. He always knew what to say to calm her down, but he'd left to stay behind. She wished she could've convinced him to come, so she wouldn't be as alone right now. Even if the two older kids were there with her, she was alone in a way she didn't know how to explain. But she could feel it inside of her. She was alone and lost, and she had to change that soon.

Tain paused as the girl began to cry and he panicked ,"erm no, don't cry, erm I'll help you, please stop" he said in rushed and panicked voice and held out his hands to her and then looked back over his sholder at the other girl and looked at her pleadingly ,"help me! I'm not good with crying kids!" he mouthed at her and all but waved at her to come over ,"help!!" he hissed quietly and then turned back to the little girl again and stuck his knife in his belt again and looked at her a second time

Emmeline reached out and took the boys hand, sniffling. "I lost my mom... I don't know where she went... She was taking medicine to my uncle and she ran too fast for me... I don't know where she went..." She wiped her face again, choking back sobs as her voice cracked. She was shaking now, and fell down, sitting on the ground with both legs swept off to her side. She let go of the boys hand and buried her face in her hands, sobbing violently. She rubbed her eyes, trying to dry her tears but she couldn't stop crying. She wiped her nose off on her arm and looked up at the boy and girl, eyes wide and watery, pleading with her eyes. "Please... please help me find her..." She begged, her voice and lip trembling as she spoke. She bit her lip, attempting to keep it from shaking.

Arena stood there awkwardly, tain walked over the girl and failed to calm her. Arena rolled her eyes and walked up to the girl, crouching down so she was face level arena put her hand on the girls shoulder. "hey," she said gently."don't cry, we'll find your ma, I promise" she smiled warmly and stood up, arm around the girls shoulder pulling her in closer, she looked at tain cautiously and slightly darkly as if to say 'help her or I promise you'll regret it' she bit down on her lip and held the girl away at armslength, she was small and frail looking, shaking slightly under the strength of panic and tears. "what's you name?"

Tain looked down at the little pale girl and the girl from before and raised his hands in defeat ,"erm, I'm not good with other people" he confessed and then felt his neck go warm and looked around for his shirt, it was still hanging over the tree branch from before so he walked over to it and pulled it off and slid it into his pack on the floor and then pulled his pack on to his bare back and then brought both his hand together in front of him so the girls could see them and focused his eye on a spot and a flick of bright red flame burst into his hand and then burnt over his fingers, he flicked his hand and it disappeared and he nodded and turned back to face the girls again ,"should we all go look?" he asked

Arena bit down on her lip until she tasted blood, washing in her mouth to stop her from gasping in shock. "how did you do that?" she hissed lowly, and pulled the girl nearer to her, she tilted her head though, in extreme curiosity. "you never mentioned you could do that! It would of been helpful to say something like 'Hey, I'm tain, I can... do fire tricks with my hands'" She frowned and shrugged it off. "It must be a trick..." She mumbled to herself, she brushed her dark brown hair behind her ear, a shadow fell over her clear olive skin and her amber eyes glimmered playfully.

Emmeline sniffled and her crying came to a halt as the girl comforted her. She wanted to hug her, but something told her not to. She stuttered over her name," I- I'm Emme- Emmeline..." She looked down, then the boy put his hands out. When she saw a tiny flame she panicked, she used all her might and forced just a tiny splash of water out of the river and on to his hands, but by the time the water hit him, he had already let the fire go out. Emmeline stared silently. "Does he have gifts like mine, but with fire?" She wondered. She assumed it must be true. Now she was really scared. The fear showed in her eyes. She looked over to the girl, with a questioning look. Did she have some sort of gift too? Emmeline grabbed her wrist, and turned her hand upwards, looking at it. She wanted her to show her what she could do.

*Am I reading this wrong, Emmeline has bright blue hair?  I can go with that* Arena looked at the girl, at second glances she was even younger then arena had previously thought, she had long blue hair which arena figured was probably some dye made by her clan, her skin was the colour of show, her eyes like ice. Her cheeks, where rosy from cold and her lips still slightly tinged blue, though as if not used to the heat of today, arena knelt down again. "What a pretty name! How old are you emmeline? My name's arena" She smiled slightly, the girl looked over her should at tain, staring at his hands, then at her own. "What's wrong?" arena said frowning lightly. |

Tain turned round and then looked at the other two girls and lowered his head and then shook himself ,"because if I'd told you then I would have been killed because I was too open" he said darkly and then flicked his wrists out to a side and felt his hands grow warm and looked down to see them wrapped in bright red flames and then looked over at them again and felt his eyes harden ,"gonna rat me in and am I going to have to burn something?" he muttered in a hollow voice

Emmeline looked back to Arena. "I've only seen six winters she said, and I don't remember three of them." She looked down again. "My mom had to tell me about them, just like she had to tell me about my brother..." Her voice trailed off for a moment, but then she kept talking, "Can you please help me find my mother? Please..." She begged, her lip trembling again.
Then she looked at the boy. She stared at him silently, not knowing what to say.

Tain looked over the smaller girl and nodded to himself ,she wouldn't be an issue if it came down to his safety but he was still unsure about the girl who called herself arena, she could still have him hunted down and killed and he wasn't really good with that idea, he'd fight his way out of this situation if he had to and he wasn't afraid to try and see what happens when fire and a forest mix when there was clearly a clan nearby

Tehanu stood in a clearing and heard voices so she ran towards them. There was a group of people, she stood silently as if awaiting judgement. She smilied a smile to say she meant no harm although she thought it might be interpreted as false. But she thought it would be obvious what she was and felt they had a right to be scared. She spoke in a light innocent tone, "what is the matter? can I help?"
