History – Nao and her older brother was very close and loved to play exiting games like jumping over stones of swinging from the trees. Their favorite game was to play on the ice on the lake close to their home during winter. The game went like this: one person walked first and then the other person walked trying to go longer on the ice trying not to break the ice. You won if you come first to the other side of the lake. Her brother was always the winner since Nao was more scared then him. During one winter she practiced and the nest winter she challenged her brother but they started their game to early on the winter and Yuan fell through the ice leaving her alone. Her brother had found his final rest in the lake.
Nao kept dreaming about her brother, how he crawled out of the lake, with seaweed in his black hair and coral growing on his body. The corpse crawled to their house, whispering her name and then dragging her down in the lake. When she woke up she could still feet the wet, rotten hands on her body and the horrible smell that followed the corpse. Then one day when she woke up, screaming, she saw her brother standing in front of her bed, the scent of rotten flesh, fish and salt from the lake. From his body dripped water and around his wrists hand seaweed and tangled through his hair. The body had turned green and pale after being under water and the hair had turned grey. Her dead brother had wounds on his under arms after crawling over ground and silvery blood leaked from his dead veins. The brother opened his mouth and a drowned, wheezing voice had called her name. With rotten hands that felt cross against her skin, he had grabbed her and starting to pull her towards the lake with a sick smile on his face, Nao heard the familiar voice under the monsters. It said that they would live forever together in the lake, that he would pull her down and let her escape this wicked world.
The villager and her parents heard the girl’s screams and came running to her, their fire scaring the monster away. The wise woman in the village told the girl that the creature that had touched her was an Abaddon, a demon created by ones deepest fears and nightmares. The skin where the demon had touched her turned pale green and her eyes started to change in yellow. The wise woman told the girl that the only chance of getting rid of the Abaddon’s curse was to kill the monster itself. The villager feared her and the demon touch and they exiled the girl, saying that she was welcome back as the Abaddon was dead, the curse marks proof of her guilt by creating an Abaddon and it would be the proof that the demon was dead by its disappearing. If Nao dared to put her foot back in the village before the marks were gone, would result in her own death.
With a knife and a change of clothes, the girl was exiled from her village and left alone to kill a monster with the face of her brother.
RP sample ---> With feet tired by endless walking the girl collapsed by a small lake in the middle of a forest, her legs unable to carry her any longer. She sighed and leaned back against a tree which branches hang down over the girl was a protective roof. How long had it been since she had been exiled from her family, how long had it been since she had slept under a safe roof, without any nightmares? With a shiver she pulled up her trousers at look at the marks now covering almost her whole under legs. The scars were now grey as, she shivered again, the Abaddon’s hair. Nao bit her lip to stop herself from crying out in desperation. She had searched for the demon for how long? She had asked professional hunter but none of them seemed to want to hunt demons. What Nao needed was a demon hunter or a powerful ally, a changeling or a child of the elements. As a human she had learned to fear the monster in human disguise but even they feared the Abaddon.
Nao crawled herself to the lake and looked down on its mirror like surface. She could see the yellow in her eyes; the time seemed to rush away. The girl had had long time to think what the curse would do to her if it became complete, perhaps it would kill her without any pain or it would transform her to a demon too. The knife in her belt seemed very heavy suddenly. If she did not kill the demon, that knife would take her own life. Rather a dead human then an living monster. Nao grabbed her bag and fell asleep against the tree she had rested against.
