Is it alright if my character's from the same ancient timeline, but from Ireland as it was at the time?
-------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
Name- Kellan Mac Conghaile
Gender- Female
Age- 19
Species - Child of the Elementals
Element Type- Earth
Family- Ian Mac Conghaile (24)~male, brother, Gaelic warrior
William Mac Conghaile (12)~male, brother, in-training
Riselle Mac Conghaile (45) ~female, mother, definitely-not-a-warrior-lady
Gundal Mac Conghaile (*Deceased, 50) ~male, father, Gaelic general, KIB (Killed in battle)
Powers- Ability to make her weapon and armor as hard as rock.
Clan/Tribe- The Mac Conghailes- a proud family of warriors who often send their children to "witchdoctors" for blessings of strength and agility in battle.
Appearance- Thick, blue-black hair cut short like a boy's. Sharp blue eyes that often look frozen, they're so pale, but melt in the heat of battle to a summer blue. Rough, tan colored skin that sets her apart from her clan mates. She stands at 5 ft. 9in., and carries herself like the proud warrior she is. She's leanly muscled, often deceiving men into thinking her weak.
Personality- She's tough, but not emotionless. Smiling and joking quite a bit, she still takes no **** from anyone. Being lazy or careless is a pet peeve of hers, and she won't stand anyone around her to be so. She takes heat from men for being a woman, and being told to go back to the camp and make tea, but they quickly realize that she can take them on in a battle and whoop their butts 9/10 times. Her coloring also makes her an easy target, but she doesn't let it get to her. Her skin is as tough as it looks.
Weapons-She carries a knife, a spear, an axe, and a flute.
(The flute is considered a weapon because she's so dreadful at it...)
Other Equipment- She carries personal belongings, such as locks of hair from each of her family members (besides her father) in a small cowhide bag.
History- Every since she was little, she knew she wasn't going to be like her mother, just taking care of the babies and making food. Her brother and father were warriors, and she was going to be one of them!
Her father wouldn't take her on as an apprentice, so she went to the village witchdoctor to ask him for some help in making herself stronger. The man creeped her out, but she did as she said and let him insert what he called "A wall of strength" inside her. For days afterward she suffered horrible pain, pain unlike anything she'd ever felt. Once she told her father what she'd done in order to become a warrior, he was shocked. He told her that he'd heard rumors of creatures known as "elementals" that could be implanted in children to grow in strength.
Still, even now, after her implant and pain, her father wouldn't take her on as an apprentice, so she wandered from village to village for a few months. Only to land in a small village outside of her own where a drunken man carrying a small dagger caught her attention. He was actually one of the best swordsmen in the country, and offered to teach her swordsmanship, if she agreed to give up being an ordinary woman. She agreed, of course, and he taught her marvelous things about swords, and the magical being inside of her. She learned to control it, and use it. And as her 17th birthday strolled around, he set her free to wander the countryside in search of work. Her travels as to date have led her all around the world, crossing seas to reach sandy deserts, mountains higher than the eyes could see, and smoky bogs filled with creatures unimaginable. Now, she travels looking for work in the forests. Meeting strange people that do not speak her tongue.
RP sample....Doesn't that ^ count somewhat?
Well, anyway.
Kellan crouched behind the crude barrel, slowing her breath so as to be inaudible.
The thugs wouldn't find her.
They raced past her hiding place, shouting in their barbaric language.
Only one stayed behind, the scout, looking for her in the areas they had passed in their hurry.
Once she felt the thugs had gotten far enough away, she jumped out from her hiding place, startling the small man.
She quickly placed him in a choke-hold, keeping him from breathing just long enough so that he'd pass out.
Grinning, she casually walked into the hot, muggy, flea-ridden streets, her pursuers evaded.
She thought to herself, "Hmm...I'm kind of thirsty. I wonder where I can go that I won't be recognized...? Ah, well,"She thought as several mouths gaped in her approach,"I'll always be recognizable so long as my weapons stay out in the open like this."
She chortled to herself, giggling at the common-folk who had never seen so many dangerous weapons on one person, much less a woman!
She was really enjoying this city.
How did I find Changlings? Well, I saw NixNight's signature on the Clan, and I thought, what the heck. Let's check it out. Turns out to be an RP site, and since the Clan kind of slow with the RP-going at the moment, I registered.

Hope it's alright to have a Gaelic character. I think I'll be able to work her into most situations, as she can be a hired mercenary or bodyguard, etc. She can be a quest-helper, i.e. she's pretty adaptable to most situations. She's a weapon.
*Edit* I changed it to what they would have had at the time, sorry I just wasn't thinking like that when I wrote it. I was thinking Bronze Age. Whoopsie. :\
Housewife was turned into -not-warrior Couldn't think of another word.
